Jeanne M. Gerstner, nee Capelle, 51, of Breese, died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. 

Mrs. Gerstner was born December 31, 1954 in E. St. Louis, IL to Paul and Marjorie (Zimmermann) Capelle; they survive in Highland. 

She married Gary Gerstner on October 5, 1979 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL; he survives in Breese. 

Surviving are her sons, Brian (Sara) Gerstner, Brent Gerstner, and Bradley Gerstner all of Breese. 

Special Friends, Amanda Hummert and Alicia Rickhoff. 

A Sister, Renee (John) Biggins of Simpsonville, Kentucky, and Brothers, David (Carol) Capelle of Cockermouth, England, Michael (Bonnie) Capelle of Highland, Mark (Kim) Capelle of Greer, South Carolina, Paul Ray (Denise) Capelle of Highland, Bruce (Michelle) Capelle of Highland, and Steven (Willeta) Capelle of Derby, Connecticut. 

Mother-in-law, Jackie Gerstner of Breese. 

Brother-in law, Rick (Barb) Gerstner of Breese. 

Numerous Nieces and Nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles Gerstner. 

Jeanne graduated from St. Paul High School, Highland, IL in 1973.  She then attended St. Mary of the Woods College where she obtained her degree in 1976.  She was a special education teacher in the Wesclin School District working at the St. Mary Elementary Campus in Trenton.  

She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Breese Junior Woman’s Club where she started the Children’s Story Hour and Munch with Santa. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 11:30 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2006 from 4:00-9:00 PM and again on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 from 8:00-11:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to Mater Dei High School in Breese and will be accepted at the funeral home.
