Helen M. Haar, nee Heidel, 75, of Breese, died Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Carlyle Healthcare Center. 

Mrs. Haar was born November 16, 1930 in Breese to Herman and Mary (Mensen) Heidel; they preceded her in death. 

She married Bernard Haar on May 3, 1950 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese; he preceded her in death on August 15, 1984. 

Also preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert Heidel; sisters, Florence Haar and Viola Lancaster; a son-in-law Jerry Kohrs; a brother-in-law Julius Lancaster. 

Surviving is a son Gary (Andrea) Haar of Piedmont, SC, and daughters, Patricia (John) Davis of Piedmont, SC and Jeanette Kohrs of Breese. 

5 Grandchildren 

Brothers, Thomas Heidel of Piedmont, SC, and Maurice (Diane) Heidel of New Baden. 

A brother-in-law John Haar of New Baden. 

Helen was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 24, 2006 at 10:00AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2006 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday, April 24, 2006 from 8:00-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
