Evelyn A. Halusan, nee Nickel, 92, of Aviston, formerly of Belleville, died Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Aviston Countryside Manor. 

Mrs. Halusan was born July 3, 1913 in Milwaukee, WI to Henry and Augusta (Mueller) Nickel; they preceded her in death. 

She married Rudolph F. Halusan on June 1, 1940; he preceded her in death August 4, 1980. 

Also preceded in death by grandsons, Thomas Lee Halusan and Daniel Thomas Halusan; sisters Linda Nickel, Carolyn Kliman, and Gertrude Nickel; brothers, Henry Nickel, George Nickel, and Frederick Nickel. 

Surviving are sons Thomas (Joan) Halusan of Trenton and Charles “Mick” (Mary Ann) Halusan of Belleville. 

5 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. 

Evelyn was a homemaker and she enjoyed Square Dancing. 

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Canterbury-Belleville, IL. 

Private interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. 

Memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Research or to the Diabetes Association and can be received through Moss Funeral Home in Trenton who is handling the arrangements
