Elsie E. Hellige, nee Farley, 90, of Breese, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at her residence.                  

Mrs. Hellige was born May 1, 1916 in Beckemeyer, to Andrew and Barbara (Brinkman) Farley; they preceded her on death. 

She married Victor Hellige on January 22, 1938 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Beckemeyer; he preceded her in death on June 6, 2006. 

Also preceded in death by sisters, Wilma Dempsey and Lorraine “Renie” Farley; brothers-in-law, Sherman Dempsey, Tim Keegan, Bill Bannister, Art Hellige, Ben Hellige, Quint Koch; sisters-in-law, Leona Koch, Appolonia Hellige; a son-in-law, Dennis Martin

Surviving are sons James (Rosemary) Hellige of Breese, Charles (Monica) Hellige of St. Louis, MO, Frank (Mandy) Hellige of Breese, Jerry (Cindy) Hellige of Breese 

A daughter Joni (Scott) Martin-Storm of Fairview Heights 

15 grandchildren 4 Step grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren

A sister Marie Keegan of St. Louis, MO

A sister-in-law Dorothy Hellige of Highland

Elsie was a homemaker

She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 11 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 4:00-9:00 PM and again on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 from 8:00-10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

Memorials can be made to VNA-TIP Hospice or to Alzheimer’s Research and will be received at the funeral home.
