Victor F. “Vic” Hellige 88 of Breese died Tuesday June 6, 2006 at St. Joseph hospital in Breese 

He was born October 3, 1917 in Breese to Bernard and Emma (Kapp) Hellige: they preceded him in death 

Also preceded in death by brothers Ben Hellige and Art Hellige, a sister Leona Koch and a son-in-law Dennis Martin 

He married Elsie Farley January 22, 1938 at St. Anthony Church in Beckemeyer and she survives in Breese 

Also surviving are sons James (Rosemary) Hellige of Breese, Charles (Monica) Hellige of St. Louis, MO, Frank (Mandy) Hellige of Breese, Jerry (Cindy) Hellige of Breese 

A daughter Joni (Fiancé Scott Storm) Martin of Fairview Heights 

15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild 

Vic formerly owned and operated Hellige Construction and electric in Breese. He also enjoyed restoring old cars 

Member of St. Dominic Church in Breese, Knights of Columbus Council 2869, IBEW Local 309, past member of the Breese Businessmen and professionals and past president of Parkview Terrace Association 

Funeral Mass Saturday June 10, 2006 at 10 am at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating. Interment St. Dominic St. Augustine Cemetery 

Visitation will be held on Friday June 9 from 4 to 9 PM and on Saturday June 10 from 8 to 9:45 am at Moss Funeral Home in Breese 

Breese Knights of Columbus will pray the rosary at 7:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home
