Helen C. Henken, nee Jansen, 84, of Germantown, died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. 

She was born March 8, 1921 in Germantown to Joseph and Frances (Gesenhues) Jansen; they preceded her in death.

She was married to John J. Henken, September 3, 1951 in St. Louis, MO.  He preceded her in death September 3, 1994.

Also preceded in death by sons Marvin “Murph” Henken and John F. Henken, brothers Tom Jansen, Richard Jansen, Paul Jansen, and Anthony Jansen, sisters Marcella Nagel, Mary Ann Jansen, and Dorothy Perry. 

Surviving are sons Ron (Helen) Henken, Dennis “Spunk” (Barb) Henken, and a daughter Mary Ellen (John) Linders all of Germantown. 

7 Grandchildren-Carrie (Josh) Phelps, Terri (Joedy) Sauder, Amy (Ken) Sheehan, Eric and Laurie Henken, and Andrea and Monica Linders. 

4 Great-Grandchildren-Madison and Abigail Phelps, Connor and Camryn Sheehan. 

Brothers-Gerald (Mary Ann) Jansen of Germantown, and Rev. James Jansen of Aviston. 

A sister-Sr. Dolores Marie Jansen, MM of Mary Knoll, NY. 

Helen was a homemaker. 

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Altar Sodality. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Germantown. 

Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2005 from 4 to 9 PM and again on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 from 8 to 10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown. 

Memorials can be made to Mary Knoll Sisters and will be received at the funeral home.
