Herbst, 73, of Breese died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at St.
Joseph Hospital in Breese
She was born October 17, 1929 in Breese to Charles "Tossie"
and Ethel (Gathard) Perkes; they preceded her in death
She married Eugene Herbst on November 29, 1947 in Breese; he
survives in Breese
Also surviving are sons Eugene C. "Chuck" Herbst of
Chicago and Dale E. (Kristina) Herbst of Tampa, FL
Two Grandsons Danny and Kevin Herbst
A Niece Kim (Jim) Lane of Columbus, GA
Putsy was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Breese
and a homemaker
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2003 at
11 AM at St. John United Church of Christ in Breese with Rev. Linda
Coulson officiating. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery
in Breese.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the
St. John United Church of Christ Organ Fund and will be received at
the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Breese which is in charge
of the arrangements
