Gary Hilmes, 56, of Breese, died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL. 

Mr. Hilmes was born February 19, 1951 in Breese, IL to Lawrence and Henrietta (Richter) Hilmes; they preceded him in death. 

Also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Pollmann. 

Surviving are brothers, Tom Hilmes of Bloomington, IL and Steven (Susan) Hilmes of Soddy-Daisy, TN. 

Sisters, Judy (Don) Schniers of Breese, IL and Angie Comeau of McKinney, TX. 

A brother-in-law, Larry Pollmann of Breese, IL. 

Numerous Nieces and Nephews. 

Gary received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and did Research for the Food and Drug Administration. 

Funeral Services will be Monday, May 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with the services being conducted by the family.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2007 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and again on Monday, May 21, 2007 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese, IL 

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
