Clara H. "Dolly" Holtgrave, nee Stevenson,
87, of Breese died Sunday, April 18, 2004 at her residence
She was born December 20, 1916 in Wakanda, MO the daughter of
William and Lydia (Anders) Stevenson; they preceded her in death
She married Julius Jenne on November 25, 1939 in Jamestown, IL;
he preceded her in death on May 5, 1977
She then married Alois Holtgrave on February 15, 1983 at St.
Felicitas Catholic Church in Beaver Prairie; he preceded her in
death on February 6, 1999
Also preceded in death by brothers; Charles, Walter, Willis, and
Paul Stevenson
Surviving is a brother Donald (Phyllis) Stevenson of Georgetown,
Louisiana
Also surviving is her beloved friend Sharon, nee Voss, (Gene)
Bickl of Breese
Also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Sarah and Adam Bickl
Dolly was a home healthcare provider and a homemaker
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Breese
and Concordia Saengerchor
Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 22, 2004 at 10 AM at St
John United Church of Christ in Breese with Rev. John Klueter
officiating. Interment will be in Carlyle Cemetery
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2004 from 4-9 PM and
again on Thursday, April 22, 2004 from 8-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral
Home in Breese.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to Mater
Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home
