died Friday December 5, 2008 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese
He was born November 11, 1918 in
Germantown to Joseph and Anna (Robke) Holtmann Sr.: they preceded
him in death

He married Dorothy “Susie” Schulte
April 30, 1947 at St Anthony Church in Beckemeyer and she survives
in Germantown

Frank was a retired mechanic from
Scott Air Force Base, an army veteran of WWII; He was a member of
the Holtmann Brothers Orchestra from 1930 to 1982. He began playing
at the age of 12 and was the leader of the band for 14 years. He
also played with Twilighters Orchestra for 5 years

Church in Germantown, St. Henry Men’s Sodality. Germantown American
Legion Post 325 and past commander, American Federation of Musicians
Local 175 and past board member, past member of Germantown
Community Development Club, Past Alderman of Germantown, Past
Spassfest Music Entertainment Chairman
Funeral Mass of Christian burial will
be held on Monday December 8, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in
Germantown with Fr. James Buerster
officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery
Visitation will be held on Sunday
December 7 from 4 to 8 PM and Monday December 8 from 8 to 10:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in
Germantown
Memorials can be made to St. Boniface
Church or Alzheimer’s Research and will be received at the funeral
