Ken “Tex” J. Holtmann, 46 of
Germantown died Thursday September 1, 2005 near Germantown.
He was born November 3, 1958 in
Breese to Ralph and Marilyn (Haake) Holtmann and they survive in
Germantown.
He married Diane Eilering June 5,
1981 in St. Bernard Church Albers and she survives at Germantown.
He is also survived by a son Luke
Holtmann and a daughter Emily Holtmann both of Germantown. Also
surviving are his sister Janelle Holtmann of Beckemeyer, nephews
Joshua Ritzheimer, Jacob Ritzheimer , niece Jami Ritzheimer and
great nephew Xander Walker all of Beckemeyer, his mother in law Mary
Eilering of Albers, sisters in law Patricia (Ernest) Lasala of
Denver Colorado, Janice (Michael) Smith of Topeka Kansas, Joyce
(Darwin) Richman of Albers, aunts uncles, nephews, nieces, and
cousins.
He was preceded in death by his
father in law Benedict “Dix” Eilering.
Ken was a retired coal miner from
Monterey Coal Mine at Albers; he was a farmer and had worked at
Germantown Egg Company. He was a member of St. Boniface Church,
Choir and a former member of St. Boniface Parish Council. He was
also a member of The Germantown Kernel Nut Club, Spassfest
Committee; he served as the Sec-Tres for the United mine Workers of
American Local 2295 and was a member of the Mater Dei Fathers and
Friends Club.
Funeral
Services will be held Wednesday September 7 2005 at 11 AM at St.
Boniface Church Germantown with Father Stephen Humphrey officiating,
with interment in St. Boniface Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday
Sept 6 from 4 to 9 Pm and Wed. from 8 to 10:30 am at the Moss
Funeral Home in Germantown. Memorials can be made to Mater Dei or
the Kernel Nut Club and will be received at the funeral home.
