Leona C. Jung 92 of Anthem, AZ and formerly of St. Rose, IL passed peacefully Thursday February 19, 2009. 

She was born on March 21, 1916 to John and Catherine (Tebbe) Diekmann: they preceded her in death 

She married Clarence E. Jung on June 14, 1939 in St. Rose, IL, He preceded her in death 

Also preceded in death by an infant daughter Marilyn F. Jung, a son Clarence A. Jung, brother john Diekmann, Sisters Margaret Rehkemper, Elizabeth Vosholler, Sophie Lyons, Frieda Frohn, Anna Timmermann and Johanna Diekmann. 

Survivors include 4 daughters, Christine J. (Tom) Thomas, of Gilbert AZ, Roselyn (Richard) Hustedde of Breese, Helen J. Beswick of Anthem AZ, Carolyn H. (Sam) Bravata of Grand Rapids MI 

11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren 

A sister Henrietta Rakers of Trenton 

Leona was a homemaker, loved cooking and gardening, and in her later years loved visiting her children and grandchildren 

In honor of her life a memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 21, 2009 at 10:30 am at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Fr. Edward Schaefer officiating Interment St. Rose Cemetery 

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial be made to Hospice of the Valley, 2122 E. Highland Ave. #100 Phoenix AZ 85016-4740 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
