Regina A. Klostermann, nee Schrage, 97, of Trenton, IL and formerly of Chester, IL, died Friday,October 5, 2007 at Carlyle Healthcare Center, Carlyle, IL. 

Mrs. Klostermann was born May 24, 1910 in St. Rose, IL, the daughter of Anna (Hoff) and Joseph Schrage, Sr.; they preceded her in death.  On September 24, 1930 she married Bernard F. “Barney” Klostermann at St. Rose Church, St. Rose, IL; he preceded her in death on February 9, 1971. 

Also preceded in death by a son Richard Klostermann; three sisters, Bernadine Schumacher, Anna Wilke, and Sr. Jeanette Schrage, ASC; five brothers, August Schrage, Otto Schrage, Joseph Schrage, Robert Schrage, and Leonard Schrage; sisters-in-law, Salome Schrage, Lenora Schrage, and Clara Schrage; brothers-in-law, Leo Welling Ben Wilke, Joe Schumacher, and John Maloney.  

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth (Herman) Haselhorst of Trenton, IL and two sons, Paul (Bunnie) Klostermann of Chesterfield, MO, and Frank (Shirley) Klostermann of Collinsville, IL; 8 grandchildren,Cindi (Brad) Weathers of Nashville, IL, Gail (Kevin) Kellermann of O’Fallon, IL, Jeff (Arlene) Haselhorst of Noblesville, IN, Mark (Lissa) Haselhorst of Gulf Breeze, FL, Greg (Sheila) Klostermann of Arlington Heights, IL, Lynn (Harrison) Chien of Chesterfield, MO, Douglas Klostermann of Brooklyn, NY, and Bruce Klostermann of Collinsville, IL; and 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Hedwig “Hattie” Welling of Aviston, IL and Dorothy Maloney of St. Charles, MO, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Regina was a homemaker, and devoted her life to her husband, children, church, and other charities.  At Trenton, she was a member of St. Mary’s Church and Altar Sodality, where she served as a past president.  At Chester, she was the sacristan for St. Mary’s Church, and volunteered at St. Ann’s Nursing Home.  She was a life member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary in Breese, IL and donated many handmade quilts for church and hospital fund-raising events. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Jim Dougherty officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton

Visitation will be Sunday, October 7, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday, October 8, 2007 from 8:00-10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. 

Memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery Fund or Christian Foundation for Children and Aged and will be received at the funeral home.
