Jake Bernard Koopmann, infant son of Craig and Sara (Kauffmann) Koopmann of Breese, who was born April 8, 2009 in St. Louis, MO, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. 

Surviving are his parents; a sister, Hanna Koopmann; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Sandra (Weh) Kauffmann of Germantown; paternal grandmother, Phyllis (Fuhler) Koopmann of Breese; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth (Deien) Weh of Germantown; paternal great-grandmother, Bertha (Vonder Haar) Fuhler of St. Rose; aunts and uncles, Scott Kauffmann of Germantown, Keith (Sarah) Koopmann of Shiloh, and Jenna (fiancé Ryan Poettker) Koopmann of Aviston; and a cousin, Dominic Koopmann. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bernard “Bernie” Koopmann; maternal great-grandparents, Andrew “Corky” Weh and Andrew and Rita Kauffmann; and paternal great-grandparents, John Fuhler and Bernard and Frances (Varel) Koopmann. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. James Buerster and Fr. Ben Stern officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 8:00-9:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Craig and Sara for a future educational fund.
