Arthur “Ward” Kreitner 80 of Breese and formerly of Damiansville died Sunday Nov. 28, 2004 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese 

He was born December 23, 1923 in Culter, IL to Frank and Florence (Reese) Kreitner: they preceded him in death

 He married Sophie Wegmann June of 1946 and she preceded him in death February 2, 1983

 Also preceded in death by a son Jerome Kreitner, a brother Gary Neal Kreitner and sisters Norma Jean Kreitner and Wanda Fulton 

Surviving are daughters Sharon (Gary) Hanvey of Marine and Wendy (Larry) Sobczak of Breese

 Daughter-in-law Helen Kreitner of Aviston

 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren

 A brother Norman (Louise) Kreitner of Belleville 

Ward was an operating engineer with Union Electric, Navy Veteran of WWII

 Member of Operating Engineers Local 148 of Maryville, IL, and past member of the Belleville VFW 1739 

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 1, 2004 at 10:00 am at Moss Funeral home in Breese. Interment Lake View Memorial Gardens, Belleville 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday Nov. 30 from 4 to 9 PM and Wednesday Dec. 1 from 8 to 10 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese
