Frances E. “Fran” Kruse, 61, of New Baden and formerly of Bartelso, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at her residence. 

Ms. Kruse was born June 13, 1947 in Centralia to Aloys and Cecilia (Grawe) Kruse; they preceded her in death. 

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kruse and a nephew, Jason Kruse. 

Surviving are her sisters, Dorothy (Joe) Voss of Breese, Irene Kruse of Bartelso, and Rita (Darrell) Kuenning of Omaha, NE, brothers, Charles (Marilyn) Kruse of Breese, George (Robin) Kruse of Bartelso, and Vince (Joyce) Kruse of Newman, GA, a sister-in-law, Mary (Larry) Garren of Boulder, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Fran retired from the Defense Finance and Accounting Department in St. Louis. 

She was a member of St. George Catholic Church in New Baden. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 26, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Bartelso. 

Visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday, January 26, 2009 from 11:00 AM-1:30 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.  

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, American Heart Association, Mater Dei, or to the Donor’s Choice and will be received at the funeral home.
