Loretta C. Kuper, nee Kreiter, 78 of Fairview
Heights, formerly of Breese, died Tuesday June 22, 2004 at Memorial
Hospital in Belleville
She was born on January 23, 1926 in Jamestown, IL to Joseph
and Mathilda (Gnaedinger) Kreiter: they preceded her in death
She married Raymond Kuper on June 17, 1947 at St. Felicitas
Church in Beaver Prairie; he preceded her in death on January 25,
2002
Also preceded in death by brothers, Harry Kreiter and Thomas
Kreiter, and a sister Eleanor Ratermann
Surviving are daughters, Marlene (Tom) Burr of Syracuse, NY and
Marilyn (Mike) Madison of Fairview Heights
Grandchildren Ryan and Chelsie Loepker
Step-Granchildren Ryan Madison, Eric (Jennifer) Burr, and Emily
Burr
A Brother Melvin (Virginia) Kreiter of Breese
Loretta was a homemaker
She was a member of St. Dominic Church and Altar Sodality in
Breese, Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary, and Daughters of
Isabella Precious Blood Circle 718
Funeral Mass Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 10 AM at St. Dominic
Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating. Interment in
St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery
Visitation will be Friday, June 25, 2004 from 5-9 PM and again on
Saturday, June 26, 2004 from 8-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in
Breese
Breese American Legion will hold services at 7 pm and Daughters
of Isabella will pray the rosary at 7:30 pm both Friday night at the
funeral home
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association and will
be received at the funeral home
