Bernice B. Kurz, 99, of Trenton died Monday January 28, 2008 at Country Side Manor in Aviston 

She was born July 11, 1908 in Trenton to Anthony and Katherine (See) Brefeld: they preceded her in death 

She married Herbert Kurz April 15, 1937 at St. Mary’s in Trenton: he preceded her in death January 8, 1983 

Also preceded in death by a grandson Rick Kurz, brothers, Dr. Gervase Brefeld, Paul Brefeld, Sisters Loretta Cope-Strake, Aurelia Glanzner, Geraldine Brefeld, daughter-in-law Betty Kurz 

Surviving are sons Jerry Kurz of Belleville, David Kurz of Trenton 

4 grandchildren Stacey (Mark) Mahat, Robin (Rob) Volkman, Brenda Kurz, Lisa (Kevin) Bell 

5 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren 

Brother Bernard (Rose Marie) Brefeld of Trenton 

Bernice was a bookkeeper for local auto dealerships 

Member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Altar Sodality and the oldest church member, Trenton Woman’s Club 

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday January 31, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Lou Koehr Officiating. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 30 from 4 to 8 PM and on Thursday January 31 from 8 to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton 

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home
