Dave Litteken, 75, of Trenton died
Tuesday August 29, 2006 at Cedar Ridge Care Facility in Lebanon.
He was born March 26, 1931 in Aviston
to Aloys and Frances (Timmermann) Litteken. They preceded him in
death.
He was preceded in death by a son
Terry Litteken, a granddaughter Dana Litteken, his twin brother
Daniel Litteken, brothers in law Marcel Von Bokel, Theodore “Dick”
Kues, Herb Fuehne, Henry Eversgerd, and Norbert Gebke; sisters in
law Helen Fuehne, Regina Eversgerd and Clare Gebke.
He married Viola “Olie” Fuehne
July 14, 1954 at St. Damian
Church, Damiansville and she survives in Trenton.
He is also survived by 5 sons: Gary
(Mary) Litteken, Dale (Ellen) Litteken, Charles (Tina) Litteken,
Scott (Michelle) Litteken, Kurt (Tina) Litteken all of Trenton; 3
daughters Donna (Raymond) Moore of Trenton, Sandy (Kenny) Hilmes of
Beaver Prairie and Brenda (Gene) Wobbe of Trenton and a daughter in
law Laurie Litteken of Trenton.
22 grandchildren, 2 step
grandchildren and 1 step great granddaughter.
Two brothers James (Thelma) Litteken
of Trenton and Aloys (Carol) Litteken of Des Peres Missouri, sisters
Sylvia (Bert) Rakers of Trenton, Lydia (Kenny) Thouvenot of
Belleville, Margie (friend Jerry Schilling) Von Bokel of Belleville,
sisters in law Mary B. Litteken of Carlyle and Linda Kues of
Aviston, and brothers in law Erwin “Bud” Fuehne of Damiansville and
Art (Pat) Fuehne of Albers.
He retired as a carpenter from
Arentsen Construction and was a farmer. He was a US Army veteran, a
member of St. Mary Church, Trenton, Trenton Knights of Columbus
Council 2932, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree-Bishop
Althoff Assembly, Carpenter’s Local 480 of Freeburg, Clinton County
Farm Bureau, Trenton American Legion Post 778 and the Breese
Concordia Saengerchor.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will
be held Friday Sept. 1, 2006 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church in Trenton
with Fr. Daniel Friedman and Deacon Charles Litteken officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Moss Funeral
Home in Trenton Thursday August 31 from 4 to 9 PM and Friday,
September 1 from 8 to 10:15 AM.
Trenton American Legion will hold
services at 7:30 PM and the Trenton Knights
of Columbus 3rd degree services and the Bishop Althoff 4th
degree services will be held Thursday at 8 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to St. Mary
Church, Cedar Ridge Activity Fund or donor’s choice and will be
received at the funeral home.
