Esther L. Luettinger, nee Espenschied, 84, of Trenton died Saturday December 9, 2006 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. 

She was born January 2, 1922 in Mascoutah the daughter of the late Otto and Louisa (Miller) Espenschied. 

She married George Koenig March 22 1941 in Lebanon and he died February 28, 1948, she then married Homer Luettinger June 11 1950 in Mascoutah and he died March 22 1994. 

She was a homemaker, a member of St. John United church of Christ Trenton and the Trenton Senior Citizens. 

She is survived by a son Donald (Sharon) Koenig of Lebanon and a daughter Carol Jean (Paul) Funkhouser of O’Fallon.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Brent Koenig of Trenton, Ryan Koenig of Valparaiso Indiana, Nathan Funkhouser of Belleville and Whitney Funkhouser of O’Fallon, 4 great grandchildren Taylor and Courtney Koenig and Tyler Funkhouser and Sean Austin. 

She was preceded in death by a sister Elvira Graul. 

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 12, 2006 at 11 AM at St. John United church of Christ Trenton with Rev. Mark Buck officiating, interment will be in Mascoutah Cemetery.  Friend and relatives may call at the church Tuesday morning from 9 AM until time of service. 

Memorials can be made to St. John Church and will be received by the funeral home.
