Richard Earnest “Mac” McIntyre, 90, of Trenton died Saturday March
3, 2007 at Highland Health Care Center
He
was born June 17, 1916 in Webster Groves, MO the third son of Albert
Ambrose and Bertha Belle (Gaddis) McIntyre: they preceded him in
death
He
married Mary Isabella Long March 12, 1938 in Highland, IL and she
preceded him in death February 16, 1997; they celebrated 58 years
together
Also
preceded in death by brothers Clarence, Albert, George, Lee Roy and
Jack McIntyre, sisters Edith Windes and Virginia “Goldie” Smith
Surviving is a son Dick (Doris) McIntyre of Carlyle
Daughters JoAnn (Roy) Harris of Collinsville, Lola Jean “Joy” (Bill)
Porter of St. Jacob

Richard was in WPA in 1937 and Civil Conservation in 1939 and worked
as a laborer in construction. In earlier days he was an avid
fisherman, loved flowers and his vegetable garden and working in his
workshop.
Member of Laborers local in Granite City, Civil Conservation Corps.,
Trenton Sportsmen’s Club
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 7, 2007 at 10 am at
the Moss Funeral home in Trenton with Rev. Vern Lintvedt
officiating. Interment Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights
Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 6 from 4 to 8 Pm and on
Wednesday March 7 from 8 to time of Service at the Moss Funeral Home
in Trenton
Memorials can be made to the Heartland Hospice and will be received
at the funeral home |
