Lois M. Meddows, nee Hastings, 79, of Trenton, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Cedar Ridge Care Center in Lebanon. 

Mrs. Meddows was born August 25, 1928 in Bennett, MO to Sherman and Elizabeth (Marlin) Hastings; they preceded her in death. 

Also preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Belcher, Katie Pierce, and Pearl Boyles, and brothers, Walter, Hanford, Earl, Franklin, and Lester Hastings. 

She married Clifford Meddows Sr. on May 11, 1947 at First United Methodist Church in Trenton; he survives in Trenton. 

Also surviving is her son, Clifford (Judy) Meddows, Jr. of Fairview Heights, and Betty Hopkins of Trenton. 

5 Grandchildren-Brandy (Matthew) Miller, Shaun (Steve) Thomas, James R.L. Hopkins, Roberto Vinluan, and Raquel (David) Smith. 

3 Great-Grandchildren-Seth Jansen, Claire Thomas, and Zella Vinluan. 

Lois retired from Jim’s Formal Wear in Trenton and also worked at the Trenton Cleaners. 

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Trenton. 

There will be no services.
