Anthony B. “Tony” Niemeyer, 80, of
Breese, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Niemeyer was born May 1, 1928 in
Breese, IL to Frank and Ann (Huelsmann) Niemeyer; they preceded him
in death.
Also preceded in death by a brother,
Marcellus “Teedle” Niemeyer; a sister, Emmy Kohrs; and
brothers-in-law, Willie Kohrs and Robert Wieter.
He married Elsie Mueller on October
25, 1991 at St. Dominic Church in Breese; she survives in Breese.
Also surviving is a brother, Greg
(Marie) Niemeyer of Breese and sisters, Dolores (George) Harvilla of
O’Fallon and Margaret (Bob) Dronsfield of Temple Hills, MD;
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Niemeyer, Lillian Wieter
and Emma “Toots” (James) Jansen, all of Breese, Ferd (Janet)
Mueller, Tom (Pam) Mueller, and David Mueller all of Germantown.
Numerous Nieces and Nephews
Tony was an army veteran of the
Korean Conflict and he retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad
after 43 years of service.
He was a member of St. Dominic
Church and Breese American Legion Post 252.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial
will be Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM
at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter
officiating. A private interment will follow in St. Dominic/St.
Augustine Cemetery, Breese.
Memorials can be made to All Saints
Academy or Mater Dei High School and will be received at the church
or through Moss Funeral Home in Breese who is in charge of the
arrangements. |
