Alvina
A. Ottensmeier, nee Poettker, 97, of Trenton, died Monday, January
8, 2007 at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden.
Mrs.
Ottensmeier was born December
5, 1909 in St. Rose to
Bernard and Anna (Strieker) Poettker; they preceded her in death.
She
married Bernard Ottensmeier on November 20, 1929 at St. Rose
Catholic Church in St. Rose; he preceded her in death on August 26,
1973
Also
preceded in death by a son, Marcellus Ottensmeier, brothers, Victor
Poettker and Vincent Poettker, and sisters, Ida Ottensmeier, Rose
Woltering and Dorothy Poettker
Surviving are her children, Bernice (Wilbert) Kampwerth of Bartelso,
Norbert (Dolores) Ottensmeier of Breese, Eugene Ottensmeier of
Trenton, Mary Lou (Henry) Feldmann of Aviston, Bernard Ottensmeier
of Albers, Dorothy (Mike) Kirkland of Alabaster, Alabama, James
(Paula) Ottensmeier of Trenton, Patricia Ottensmeier of Kennesaw
Georgia, and Charlene (Rich) Hesker of Mascoutah.

Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Grandson

Trenton

Alvina
was a homemaker.
She was
a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar Sodality, Trenton
Senior Citizens, Catholic Fraternal Life, and Clinton County Farm
Bureau.
Funeral
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 10:00
AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Jim Dougherty
officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 4:00-9:00 PM and
again on Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 8:00-9:45 AM at the Moss
Funeral Home in Trenton.
Memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice, Clinton Manor Living
Center-ICF Activity Fund, St. Mary Church, or to the Donor’s Choice
and will be received at the funeral home. |
