Leon J. Parent, 52, of Swansea died Thursday,
November 28, 2002 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis
He was born September 30, 1950 in Scobey, MT to Rose (Timmermann)
Parent and the Late Louis Parent; his mother survives in Aviston
He married Margaret "Marge" Voss September 23, 1972 at
St. Francis Church in Aviston and she survives in Swansea
Also surviving is a daughter Amy Parent and a Son Ryan Parent
both of Swansea
A brother Jerome Parent of Beckemeyer
Sisters Lois, Sharon, and Carol Parent all of Belleville
Mother-in-law Pauline Voss of Germantown
His father Louis Parent and his father-in-law Robert Voss
preceded Leon in death
He was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in
Fairview Heights
Leon was an estimator with Fred Luth and Sons Construction
Company
He graduated in 1968 from Mater Dei High School in Breese and he
attended the University of Illinois in Champaign
Funeral Mass will be Monday, December 2, 2002 at 11 am at St.
Francis Catholic Church in Aviston with Fr. James Long officiating.
Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery
Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2002 from 4 to 9 PM and
again on Monday, December 2, 2002 from 8 to 10:30 am at the Moss
Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society-St. Clair
County Chapter and will be received at the funeral home.
