Loretta J. Patton, nee Wiggins, 79,
of Trenton, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in
Belleville.
Mrs. Patton was born July 25, 1929
in Alton, IL to James “Marshall” and Lorene (Hendricks) Wiggins;
they preceded her in death.
She married James “Lonnie” Patton in
1947 at Restitution Church of God in Eldorado; he preceded her in
death in May of 1984.
Also preceded in death by a brother,
James “Jim” Wiggins.
Surviving are her children, James
Thomas (Barbara) Patton of Elko, Nevada, Lonna “Jane” (Stephen
Feldmann) Patton of Trenton, and Elizabeth L. Potratz of
Belleville;
5 Grandchildren, Thomas (Adrienne)
Patton, Brad (Kristen) Patton, Rev. Joseph (Sarah) Feldmann, Jamie
Feldmann, Raymond Feldmann;
4 Great-Grandchildren, Jacob, Dylan,
Dannin, and Ethan Patton;
a brother Jack (Velma) Wiggins of
Eldorado;
and a sister-in-law, Jean Wiggins of
Wood River.
Loretta was a homemaker and was an
avid gardener, loving her flowers.
She was a member of St. John United
Church of Christ, Woman’s Guild and J.O.Y. in Trenton and
Restitution Church of God in Eldorado, and the Trenton Tumbleweeds.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday,
July 15, 2009 at 7:30 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with
Rev. Linzy Collins, Jr. officiating and again on Thursday, July 16,
2009 at 1:00 PM at the Restitution Church of God in Eldorado with
Mr. Carlos Medley officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July
15, 2009 from 4:00-9:00 PM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton and
again on Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at the
Restitution Church of God 270 Alexander Rd in Eldorado 62930.
Interment Barnett Cemetery, Equality, IL.
Memorials can be made to St. John
United Church of Christ or to Aussie Rescue of St. Louis and will be
received at the funeral home. |
