Myron M. “Mike” Pennington, 75, of Trenton, died Friday, May 20, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield

 He was born August 23, 1929 in Clinton, IL to James R. and Nellie (Hill) Pennington, Sr.; they preceded him in death

 Also preceded in death by a son Ward Braxton Pennington, and brothers James Pennington Jr. (infancy) and Donald L. Pennington 

He married Mary Hildreth on June 4, 1955 at First Christian Church in Clinton, IL; she survives in Trenton

 Also surviving are daughters Molly (Daniel) Myers of Manhattan, KS and Cady (Tony) Ooley of Bloomington, IN

 4 Grandchildren-Matthew Pennington Myers, Joel Daniel Myers, Bria Lianne Ooley and Bryce Michael Ooley

 A brother G. Robert (Betty) Pennington of Burnsville, MN 

A sister-in-law Betty Pennington of Glen Ellyn, IL

 Mike graduated from the University of Illinois College of Business in 1952, worked as the district manager of Illinois Power in Trenton for 10 years and along with his wife was the co-owner of Pennington Insurance Agency in Trenton

 He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton, Masonic Lodge AF & AM, and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict

 Memorial Service will be Monday, May 23, 2005 at 10 AM at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton with Rev. Tom Perl and Rev. Donald Wagner officiating.  Interment will be in McCliman’s Cemetery, Hallsville, IL

 Visitation will be Sunday, May 22, 2005 from 6 to 8 PM and again Monday, May 23, 2005 from 9 to 10 AM at  St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton

 Memorials can be made to the St. John Memorial Fund or to the donor’s choice and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Trenton who is in charge of the arrangements
