William A. "Bill" Perkes

 

 

William A. "Bill" Perkes 72 of Breese died Thursday January 9, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville.

He was born May 13, 1930 in Breese, IL to Raymond and Adeline (Schlueter) Perkes: they preceded him in death

Also preceded in death by brothers Laverne Perkes and Raymond "Jupe" Perkes

He married Mary Ann Lager June 9, 1953 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston: She survives in Breese

Also surviving are three sons Bob (Laurie) Perkes of Decatur, Brian (Melissa) Perkes of Breese, Bruce (Rose) Perkes of Aviston

Two daughters Bev (Wesley) Wright of Trenton, Barb Perkes of Elgin

A brother Don "Duck"(Carla) Perkes of Breese

Two sisters Adrienne (Tom) Wobbe of Breese, Eileen (Mac) McCoy of Denver CO.

10 grandchildren

Bill was retired salesman from Business Men’s Assurance

Member of the Breese American Legion Post 252, Trenton VFW Post 7983, Trenton Knights of Columbus Council # 2932, 4th Degree Bishop Althoff Assembly, past Clinton County Board Member

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday January 13, 2003 at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating. Interment in St. Dominic-St. Augustine cemetery

Visitation will be held on Sunday January 12 from 4 to 9 PM and on Monday January 13 from 8 to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese

Memorials can be made to Mater Dei High School Foundation and will be received at the funeral home

Breese American Legion, Trenton VFW, Trenton Knights of Columbus followed by the 4th degree Bishop Althoff Assembly will hold services starting at 7:30 pm at the funeral home on Sunday January 12
