Sophia M. Pingsterhaus, nee Langenhorst, 89, of Germantown, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese 

She was born January 14, 1916 in Germantown to Bernard and Rose (Leonard) Langenhorst; they preceded her in death 

She married Bernard J. “Ben” Pingsterhaus on November 19, 1935 in Fayetteville; he preceded her in death on February 21, 1988 

Also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Haselhorst-Hollenkamp; a son-in-law, Herb Haselhorst; brothers, Ben, Vince, Clarence “Johnny”, Wilbert “Whip”, William, and Ervin Langenhorst; sisters, Marie Beer and Bernice Langenhorst; a half-brother, Lavern Wobbe; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Wobbe 

Surviving are sons Norb (Alice) Pingsterhaus of Germantown, Herb (Jodi) Pingsterhaus of Carlyle, Dave “Pinky” (Ruth) Pingsterhaus of Damiansville, Paul (Kay) Pingsterhaus of Anna, TX, and Glen (Pat) Pingsterhaus of Germantown, and a daughter, Ruth (Paul) Spihlmann of Germantown 

A son-in-law, Dennis Hollenkamp of Damiansville 

24 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren 

A brother-in-law, Ray Beer of Germantown; and sisters-in-law, Leona Langenhorst of Bartelso, Dolores Langenhorst of Carlyle, and Bernadette Langenhorst of Germantown 

Sophia was a homemaker 

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown and Germantown Senior Citizens 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown 

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2005 from 4 to 9 PM and again on Saturday, November 12, 2005 from 8 to 9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown. 

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home
