Helen M. Randant, nee Haukap, 89, of Germantown, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at Carlyle Healthcare Center. 

Mrs. Randant was born November 10, 1919 in Breese, to Frank and Helena (Korte) Haukap; they preceded her in death. 

She married Fred Randant in 1939 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown; he preceded her in death on January 27, 2001. 

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Haukap in infancy, Frank Haukap, Jr., Elmer Haukap, and Edward Haukap, and sisters, Florence Haukap in infancy, Louise Haukap, Pauline Varel, Amelia Reichert, Emma Nordhaus, Bernice Maehlmann, and Alice Kruep; brothers-in-law, Edward “Red” Varel, Martin Reichert, Edward Nordhaus and Quintin Maehlmann; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Haukap. 

Surviving is a daughter, Barbara (Ben) Bailey of Highland; 2 Grandchildren, Gina (Steve) McEwen of Breese and Phillip (Jill) Beckmann of Breese; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mackayla, and Mackenna Wieter, and Jillian and Maryn Beckmann; a sister-in-law, Marcella Haukap of Aviston and a brother-in-law, Francis Kruep of Carlyle. 

Helen along with her husband Fred were the former owners of EJ Raber Co. in Breese which they purchased in 1956, which is now known as R&B Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning.  

She was a member of St. Boniface Church and Altar Sodality and St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary. 

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster officiating. 

Memorials can be made to the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Germantown which is handling the arrangements.
