Ratermann, nee Meyer, 55, of Breese, died Sunday, November 12, 2006
at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis,
MO.
Mrs.
Ratermann was born November
7, 1951 in Highland to George
and Romilda “Remy” (Woltering) Meyer; they preceded her in death.
Also
preceded in death by a brother, Larry Meyer, a nephew, Brent Meyer,
and a niece, Laurie Jacob.
She
married Dennis Ratermann on December 21, 1973 at St. Rose Catholic
Church; he survives in Breese.
Also
surviving is a daughter, Chelsey (Clint) Allaman of Kansas City, KS
and a son, Keith Ratermann of Breese.
A
Grandson, Luke Allaman.
Sisters, Millie (Gene) Jansen of Belleville, Mary Lou Isaak of
Highland, Flo (Sam) Hannagan of Dayton, NJ, Moe Goestenkors of
Aviston, and Lori (Mike) Williamson of Columbia, MD.
Sisters-in-law, Jeanne Meyer of St. Rose, Sr. Ann Marie Bonvie, SSND
of Belleville, and Joan Meredith of Breese.
Brothers-in-law Paul (fiancée Marian Wright) Ratermann of Granite
City, Reg (Kathleen) Bonvie of Ottawa Ontario,
Canada,
and Jerome (Sandy) Bonvie, of
Breese.
Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Geri
was a Licensed Cosmetologist, a Licensed Cosmetology Teacher, and
was the owner/operator of Appearance Center, Inc. in
Highland.
She was
a member of St. Dominic Church where she was involved in the Altar
Sodality, Eucharistic Minister, and was the chairperson of Church
Decorating. She was an Advisory Board Member for Kaskaskia College
Cosmetology Program, and also a member of the Red Hat Society,
Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary, and the Highland Chamber
of Commerce.
Funeral
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at
10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic
Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 14, 2006 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
and again on Wednesday,
November 15, 2006 from 8:00-9:45 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in
Breese. Breese American Legion Auxiliary will hold services at 7:00
p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to St. Dominic Church, Mater Dei High School,
All Saints Academy, or to the Geri Ratermann Cosmetology Memorial
Scholarship at Kaskaskia College and will be received at the funeral
home. |
