Mary Louise Ratermann, nee Wolters, 90, of Breese, died Friday, August 10, 2007 at Aviston Countryside Manor.   

Mrs. Ratermann was born July 7, 1917 in Aviston, IL to Herman and Caroline (Kuhl) Wolters; they preceded her in death. 

She married Sylvester Ratermann on October 17, 1939 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston; he preceded her in death on February 27, 1986. 

Also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Detmer, a grandson, Jeff Detmer, granddaughters, Cynthia Lappe and Karen Lappe, a great-grandson, Adam Detmer, a son-in-law, Donald Detmer, a daughter-in-law, Alice Ratermann, brothers, Joseph Wolters, Fritz Wolters, Otto Wolters, and Wilbert Wolters, and sisters, Dorothy Richter, Bertha Horstmann, Catherine Gress, and Cecilia Niemann. 

Surviving is her children, Mary Ellen Detmer of Breese, John Ratermann of Breese, Jane (Rich) Lappe of Breese, Leonard (Mary Ellen) Ratermann of Pierron, Carl (Yvonne) Ratermann of Breese 

A son-in-law, Regi (Julie) Detmer of Bartelso 

18 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren 

Brothers, John (Pauline) Wolters of Aviston and Ralph (Florence) Wolters  of Albers 

Sisters, Josephine Gunn of St. Louis and Frieda (Edwin) Schomaker of New Baden 

Mary Louise retired from the laundry department at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. 

She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and Altar Sodality, Breese Senior Citizens 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 13, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 4:00-9:00 PM and again on Monday, August 13, 2007 from 8:00-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese 

Memorials can be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church and will be received at the funeral home
