Victor E. Ratermann 89 of St. Rose died Friday
January 23, 2004 at his residence
He was born December 21, 1914 in Aviston, IL to George and
Bernadine (Peek) Ratermann: they preceded him in death
He married Veronica Straeter April 30, 1940 at St. Rose Church
and she preceded him in death December 6, 1996
Also preceded in death by brothers Leo, George, Paul, Edward and
August Ratermann and a sister Anna Kruep
Surviving are daughters Jane (Joel) Dapkus of Pocahontas,
Patricia Beard of Highland, Rita (George) Nyhoff of Chesterfield,
MO, Carol (Daniel) Svezia Granite City, Rosemary (Dale) Ross of
Centralia
A son Stanley (Lois) Ratermann of Mulberry Grove
12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren
Sister-in-law Evelyn Ratermann of Breese
And Special friends Janet Hemker and family
Victor was retired from farming
Member of St. Rose Church and Men’s Sodality, St. Rose
Development Club
Funeral Mass Wednesday January 28, 2004, 2:00 PM at St. Rose
Church with Mnsg. Paul Sheridan officiating. Interment St. Rose
Cemetery
Visitation will be held on Tuesday Jan. 27 from 4 to 9 PM and on
Wednesday Jan. 28 from 11:00 am to 1:30 PM at the Moss Funeral home
in Breese
Memorials can be made to St. Rose Church Building Fund and will
be received through the funeral home
