Fredric W.  “Doc” Reitz O.D. 71 of Breese died Saturday October 23, 2004 at his residence

He was born September 27, 1933 in Waterloo, IL to Frederick and Leora (Reinhold) Reitz: they preceded him in death

 Also preceded in death by a daughter Beth Reitz, brothers Roger, Leroy and Floyd Reitz, sisters-in-law Janet (Toenjes) Reitz and Janet (Keck) Reitz 

He married Mary Kutterer June 16, 1956 at Immaculate Conception Church in Columbia, IL and she survives in Breese

 Also surviving is a son David (Jane) Reitz of Breese

 Daughters Susan (Rick) Willis of O’Fallon, Pat (Don) Henrichs of St. Rose, Diane (Joseph) Foppe of Germantown

 11 grandchildren Lindsey and Ashley Reitz, Rick, Bryn and Libby Willis, Patrick, Beth and Alex Henrichs, James, Drew and David Foppe

 Brothers Glen (Margaret) Reitz of Waterloo, Aaron Reitz of Waterloo, Neil (Dee) Reitz of Elmhurst

Doc owned and operated Dr. F.W. Reitz Optometry in Breese Graduated from University of Illinois and Illinois School of Optometry, U.S. Army Veteran 

Member of St. Augustine Catholic church and Men’s Sodality , Breese Knights of Columbus council 2869, Illinois Optometric Association, past president of Breese Jaycee’s, Concordia Saengerchor, Mater Dei Fathers and Friends and past school board member of Mater Dei High school

 Funeral Mass Wednesday October 27, 2004 at 10 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment St. Dominic-St. Augustine cemetery, Breese

 Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 26 from 4 to 9 PM and On Wednesday October 27 from 8 to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese 

Breese Knights of Columbus will pray the rosary Tuesday at 7 Pm at the funeral home

 Memorials can be made to Mater Dei high School or Donor’s Choice and will be received a the funeral home
