James P.
Robben, 66, of Germantown died Monday January 3, 2005 at St. Joseph
Hospital Breese
He was born April 16 1938 in
Germantown to Herman and Clara (Duepmann) Robben and they preceded
him in death.
He was also preceded in death by
brothers Thomas, Richard and William Robben and brothers in law
Norbert Hedtkamp, Elmer Kohrs, Wilbert & wife Emerita Kohrs, Ralph
Kohrs and Jerry Kohrs, Henry Lamping, Arnold Winter and Martin
Johnson.
He was an iron worker at Monsanto
Chemical in Sauget Illinois, a member of St. Boniface Church
Germantown and Germantown American Legion Post 325, former treasurer
of the Germantown Park District.
He married Marlene Kohrs October 7, 1961
in St. Augustine Church Breese and she survives in Germantown.
He is also survived by 3 sons, John
“Jack” (Twyla) Robben of Trenton, David Robben of Frisco Texas and
James “Jim” (Stacy) Robben of Swansea. 4 grandchildren Cory and Kyle
Swinney and Nathaniel and Lucas Robben. 3 brothers Herman (Venetta)
Robben of Trenton, Harold (Carolyn) Robben and Lenny (Jeanette)
Robben all of Germantown,
2 sisters Vivian Hedtkamp of Afton Missouri
and Betty (Frank) Schoendienst of Belleville.
Also surviving is a brother in law
Arthur (Marie) Kohrs of St. Louis and sisters in law Betty Robben of
Carlyle, , Dolores Lamping of St. Louis, Bernice Winter of Breese,
Martha (Don) Cornell of Fairview Heights Alice Kohrs of Independence
Missouri, Mildred Johnson of Breese, Roselyn (John) Crawford of St.
Louis, and Janette Kohrs of Breese.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday January 5, 2005
at 11 Am at St. Boniface
Church Germantown with Father Steven Humphrey officiating.
Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Friends may call at the
Moss Funeral Home in Germantown Tuesday Jan 4 from 4 to 9 Pm and
Wednesday Jan 5 from 8 to 10:45 am.
Memorials can be made to Mater Dei
High School or Donor’s Choice and will be received at the funeral
home.
