She was born February 21, 1923 in Randolph County, IL to Murray and Emma (Steele) Hindman; they preceded her in death

She married Walter Scheffel in August, 1942 in Perryville, MO; he preceded her in death on January 25, 1965

Also preceded in death by brothers Howard Hindman, Harold Hindman, and Edward Hindman and sisters Ollie Hindman and Myrtle Ervin

Surviving is a son Bill (Barb) Scheffel of Trenton

Also surviving are 3 Grandchildren, Chris Scheffel, Kevin (Stephanie) Scheffel, and Neal (Sara) Scheffel

Also surviving are Great-Grandchildren, Abigail Fritz, Riley Scheffel, AJ Scheffel, Reagan Scheffel, and William Scheffel

Also surviving is a brother Virgil (Elaine) Hindman of Florida

Also surviving are sisters Mary Brown of Granite City, Eula (William) Fowler of Festus, MO, and Lela Sauls of Bethalto

Also surviving are sisters-in-law Valerie Hindman of Milan, Marge Hindman of Chester, and Mary Hindman of Pekin

She was a member of West Gate Baptist Church

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 10 AM at West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton with Rev. Michael May officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield

Visitation will be Monday, April 12, 2004 from 4 to 8 PM and again on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 from 8 to 9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton
