Clara A. Schrage, nee Ratermann, 90, of Highland, formerly of Breese
died Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Highland Healthcare Center,
Highland.
She was born November 3, 1913 in Aviston to Fred and Theresia
(Voss) Ratermann; they preceded her in death
Also preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Otto, Robert, Arthur
Ratermann
Preceded in death by sisters Pauline Boeckmann, Kate Boeckmann,
Mary Niebur, Martha Altepeter, and Ann Nordman
She married Leonard F. Schrage on October 5, 1937 at St. Francis
Church in Aviston; he survives in Highland
Also surviving are sons Dale (Donna) Schrage of Santa Fe, NM and
Kenneth (Marguerite) Schrage of Leawood, KS
Brothers Victor Ratermann of St. Libory and Frank Ratermann of
Carlyle
Clara was a homemaker and an avid quilter in which she dedicated
her time to charity at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland and a
former member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in
Breese
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 10 AM at St.
Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter
Officiating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic~St. Augustine
Cemetery, Breese.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, 2003 from 4 to 9 PM and
again on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 from 8 to 9:45 AM at the Moss
Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be
received at the funeral home.
