Jerry “Smokey” Shirley, 72, of
Carlyle, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at his residence.
He was born February 9, 1936 in
Holland,
MO to William and Flora (Lockard)
Shirley; they preceded him in death.
He married Wilma Hutson on November
9, 1968 in East St. Louis; she preceded him in death on October 20,
2003.
Also preceded in death by a son,
Jerry Wayne Shirley; grandsons, Randy William Shirley, Steven
Kozuszek; sisters, Minnie Taylor, Louise Gutterman; a brother,
Charles Shirley; brothers-in-law, Elmo Taylor and Roy Gutterman.
Surviving is his children, Linda
(James) Jones of Greenville, TX, Louise Shirley of Carlyle, Jennifer
Shirley of Sandoval, Patty (Steve) Kozuszek of Sandoval, Cindy Voss
of Beckemeyer, Terry (Missy) Shirley of Albers.
15 Grandchildren and 3
Great-Grandchildren.

Murray Center in Centralia.
Funeral Services will be Saturday,
May 10, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese with
Pastor Chuck Waggoner officiating. Interment will follow in Ellwood
Cemetery, Breese.
Visitation will be Saturday, May
10, 2008 from 8:30-10:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials can be made to the
American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association and will
be received at the funeral home. |
