Josephine E. Smith 95 of Trenton died Monday April 13, 2009 at Country Side Manor in Aviston 

She was born September 23, 1913 in Trenton to Fred and Helena (Taphorn) Smith: they preceded her in death. 

Jo was the youngest daughter, and born in the home that her father had built on South Main St. few houses from the old mill site. She spent her life in Trenton working in the home and caring for her parents and sisters.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, visiting with friends and putting on a nice outfit to go shopping or out to dinner. She was preceded in death by a sister Emma Louise Smith, a sister Alvina Smith, a sister Catherine Henry who both passed away at the age of 95, a brother Charles Smith who died at the age of 99. A brother-in-law Terrence Henry, a sister-in-law Evelyn Smith. 

Surviving is a nephew Dean (Rita) Smith, a niece DeAnne (Frank) Buono all from Seattle WA 

7 grand nieces and nephews and 9 great grand nieces and nephews 

Her many friends, especially who where kind and caring to her in her last years, Linda, Dolores, Betty and Mary. 

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Friday April 17, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Gene Kreher officiating. Interment St. Mary Cemetery 

Visitation will be Friday April 17 from 9 to 11:00 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton 

Memorials can be made to St. Mary Church or simply make sure that everyday; you tell the people who are close to you that they are special and that you love them.
