Joan M. Sommers, nee Knue, 69, of Carlyle, died
Saturday, January 03, 2004 at her residence
She was born July 22, 1934 in Breese to John and Mary
"Mayme" (Doyle) Knue; they preceded her in death
She married Urban Sommers on July 30, 1960 at St. Augustine
Catholic Church in Breese; he survives in Carlyle
Also surviving is a daughter Christy (Hank) Adams of Allen, TX
and a son Michael (Sara) Sommers of Tulsa, OK
Also surviving are 2 Grandchildren-Noah and Emily Adams
Also surviving are sisters Rosemarie Knue and Jackie Knue, both
of Breese
Also surviving are brothers Wally Knue of Breese, Maurice (Jean)
Knue of St. Louis, and Robert (Shirley) Knue of Carlyle
Joan was a homemaker
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Carlyle
Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 5, 2004 at 11 AM at St. Mary
Catholic Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck Officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese
Memorials can be made to Hospice of the Good Samaritan, Mt.
Vernon and will be received through Moss Funeral Home in Breese who
is handling the arrangements
