Donald J. Wehrle 76 of Trenton died
Sunday May 1, 2005 at Faith Country side Manor in Highland
He was born November 16, 1928 in
Trenton to Eugene and Margaret (Drees) Wehrle: they preceded him in
death
Also preceded in death by a brother
Harold Wehrle and a sister Shirley Kanaske
He married Marilyn Boots August 25,
1954 at United Church of Christ in Lebanon and she survives in
Trenton
Also surviving is a son Hal Wehrle
of Trenton

Sister Phyllis (Don) Zurliene of
Phoenix AZ
Brother -in-law Dale (Rovena) Boots

Don was retired principal of the
Trenton Elementary school; he was a teacher for 35 years and retired
Wesclin High School Basketball coach. He was inducted into the
Wesclin Hall of Fame and awarded the first recipient of the Alumnus
of the year from the Wesclin Alumni Association. One of many
accomplishments that he was very proud of was the building of the
Bell Tower at Trenton Elementary
He was an army veteran of the
Korean Conflict
Member of St. John United Church of
Christ in Trenton, Trenton American Legion Post 778, Clinton County
Amateur Radio Club, Trenton ESDA, Masonic Lodge AF & AM 50 year
member, Illinois Retired Teachers Association
Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday May 4 at 11:00 am at the Moss Funeral home in Trenton with
Rev. Tom Rankin officiating. Interment Trenton Cemetery
Visitation will be held on Tuesday
May 3 from 4 to 9 PM and on Wednesday May 4 from 9 to 11 am at the
Moss Funeral home in Trenton
The members of the Masonic lodge
will hold services Tuesday evening at the funeral home
Memorials can be made to
Alzheimer’s Research or the Arthritis foundation and will be
received at the funeral home
