Patricia M. “Pat” Welz, nee Haselhorst, 68, of Trenton, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. 

She was born September 13, 1939 in Highland, IL to Gregory and Louise (Zurliene) Haselhorst; they preceded her in death. 

Also preceded in death by her father-in-law Cornell Welz. 

She married Neal Welz on August 13, 1960 at St. Mary Church in Trenton; he survives in Trenton. 

Also surviving are her sons, Todd (Carolyn) Welz of Highland, Craig Welz of Marine, and Eric (Leah) Welz of Highland. 

5 Grandchildren-Hayley, Shanna, Austin, Evan, and Griffin Welz. 

Brothers, Don (Carol) Haselhorst of Springfield, MO and John (Mary Rita) Haselhorst of Clinton, Mississippi. 

Sisters, Sr. Marilyn Haselhorst, PHJC of Coatzacoalcos, Mexico, Judy (Dale) Gall of Trenton, and Diane (Jeff) Bloss of Springfield, IL. 

Mother-in-law, Lillian Welz of Trenton. 

Pat retired in 1997 as a teacher’s aid at Wesclin School. 

She was a member of St. Mary Church in Trenton, and she enjoyed Pinochle, Sewing, Cooking, and Quilting. 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. James Dougherty officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 4:00-9:00 PM and again on Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 8:00-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. 

Memorials can be made to H.I.S. K.I.D.S., American Cancer Society, or to Make a Wish and will be received at the funeral home.
