Ervin P.
Winkeler, 75, of Germantown died Monday April 18, 2005 at St. Joseph
Hospital Breese.
He was born May 24, 1929 in Bartelso
to Leo and Helen (Mensing) Winkeler. They preceded him in death.
He was a framer, and had previously
worked for Hunter Packing Company, the John Morrell Company, the
Swift Meat Packing Company; he was Germantown Park Maintenance
supervisor, Germantown Township Road Commissioner, and a bus driver
for the Clinton County Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of
St. Boniface Church, the Bartelso Knights of Columbus Council 4745
and the Germantown Kernel Nut Club.
He married Rosemary Pille April 28,
1953 in St. Boniface Church and she survives in Germantown. He is
also survived by 2 sons Tom (special friend Diane “Fuzzy” Gebke) and
Ken “Erv” Winkeler all of Germantown. He has 1 granddaughter Nicole
Winkeler and 1 sister Lucille (Don) Vandeloo of Carlyle. Also
surviving are sisters in-law Helen Winkeler of Bartelso and Betty
Winkeler of Carlyle.
He was preceded in death by 2
brothers Gregor Winkeler and Norbert Winkeler and a sister Rosalind
Sautmann.
Funeral
services will be held Thursday April 21 2005 at 11 AM at St.
Boniface Church Germantown with Fr. Steven Humphrey officiating.
Interment St. Boniface Cemetery. Friend may call at the Moss
Funeral Home in Germantown Wednesday April 20 from 4 to 9 Pm and
Thursday April 21 from 8 to 10:45 AM. Memorials can be made to
Donor’s Choice and will be received at the funeral home
