Fred C. “Fritz” Wolters, 92, of Aviston, died Monday, November 8, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese 

He was born July 22, 1912 in Sugar Creek Twsp. to Herman and Caroline (Kuhl) Wolters; they preceded him in death 

Also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Wolters,

 and sisters, Kathryn Gress, Bertha Horstmann, and Dorothy Richter 

He married Cecilia McGee on October 29, 1955 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Batchtown, IL; she survives in Aviston 

Also surviving are brothers John (Pauline) Wolters of Aviston and Ralph (Florence) Wolters of Albers 

Sisters Cecilia Niemann and Josephine Gunn of St. Louis, Mary Louise Ratermann of Breese,

and Frieda (Ed) Schomaker of New Baden

 Fritz retired as a self employed truck driver

 He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and Men’s Holy Name Society, and Breese Knights of Columbus Council 2869

 Funeral Mass will be Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 10 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston with Fr. Daniel Friedmann officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Aviston

 Visitation will be Wednesday, November 10, 2004 from 4-9PM and again on Thursday, November 11, 2004 from 8-9:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese 

Breese Knights of Columbus will pray the rosary at 7 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home 

Memorials can be made to Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home
