Roger G. Heffron, 80 of Breese, died
Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Breese Nursing Home.
Mr. Heffron was born May 13, 1929 in
Flint, Michigan to Glen and Constance (Ilstrup) Heffron; they
preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, he was
also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Nelson and a
brother-in-law Arthur Wolf.
He married Mary Bolk on October 4,
1950 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; and she survives.
Also surviving are his children,
Marsha (George) Ward of San Diego, California and Mark (Mary)
Heffron of Trenton; a son-in-law, Rick Nelson of Breese; 6
Grandchildren, Jennifer, David, Andrew, Stephanie, Joshua, and
Zachary; brothers, Horace “Curly” (Charlene) Heffron, Jerry (Molly)
Heffron, and Jim Heffron all of Minnesota; sisters, LaVonne (Stan)
Gray, and LuAnn Wolf all of Minnesota, and LaRae (Patrick) Donnellan
of Florida; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Renel (Norbert)
Timmermann of Breese.
Roger retired from Scott Air Force
Base as the Chief of Rates and Tariffs with the Department of
Defense, formerly worked at Hardee’s in Breese, and was a Veteran of
the United States Air Force.
He was a member of St. Dominic Church
in Breese and Breese Knights of Columbus Council 2869.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will
be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter
officiating. Interment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine
Cemetery, Breese.
Visitation will be Friday, March 12,
2010 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from
8:00-9:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
The Breese Knights of Columbus will
recite the Rosary at 7:30 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the donor’s
choice and will be received at the funeral home. |
