Ralph Thomas Hull, 81 of New Baden, and formerly of Trenton, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at his home. 

Mr. Hull was born June 4, 1928 in Trenton, IL to Albert and Loretta (Fischer) Hull; they preceded him in death. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Schomaker and a son-in-law, Lee Mohme. 

He married Isabel Kunz on August 7, 1955 at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton; she survives in New Baden. 

Hs is also survived by his children, Thomas (Jessie) Hull of New Baden and Deanna (Fred) Lucas of Trenton; a son-in-law, Richard Schomaker of New Baden; 9 grandchildren, Sara (Joseph) Mudd of Belleville, Eric (fiancé Rachele Cronck) Hull of New Baden, Brandon (Rebecca) Schomaker of New Baden, Jadii (Ramon) Castillo of Paducah, KY, Caren (Carl) Hodges of Shiloh, Shaunda Mohme, Scott Mohme, Samuel Lucas, and Benjamin Lucas all of Trenton; 3 great-grandchildren, Aiden Mudd, Bryce Castillo, and Brooke Schomaker; and a brother, Dean (Darl) Hull of Naples, FL. 

Ralph retired from Koch Candy as a sales person after 40+ years. 

He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton where he was the Past Treasurer, Past President of St. John United Church of Christ in Summerfield, Summerfield Lions Club, Charter Member and Past President of Illinois South Conference Men’s Fellowship, Representative of Illinois Council of Churches, and was involved with the Boy Scouts. 

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Linzy Collins Jr. and Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating.  Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 8:00-10:00 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. 

Memorials can be made to St. John United Church of Christ or to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
