formerly of Ludlow, Wheeling, Springfield and Benton died Saturday
November 21, 2009 at his residence
He was born May 4, 1942 in Paxton to
Howard and Mary Louise (Robeck) Jones: they preceded him in death

He married Patricia Kaiser October 5,
1963 in Thomasboro and she survives in Trenton
Also surviving are his children Gerald
Jones of Indian Hills CO, Sheryl (James) Crook of Arlington Heights,
and Keith (Tracy) Jones of Littleton CO

Member of St. Mary Catholic Church in
Trenton. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and reader of
talking books.
He was awarded the Don Cameron Award,
the highest national award of Randolph Sheppard Vendors of America,
Homer Steele award, the vendor of the year for outstanding service
and dedication to the Illinois Business Enterprise Program for the
Blind. He was chairman of the board Visually Handicapped Managers of
Illinois Inc., Board Member of Visually Handicapped Managers of
Illinois, Chairman Budget Committee Illinois Committee of Blind
Vendors, Chairman of the board Illinois Committee of Blind Vendors,
legislation Chairman VHMI and ICBV. He was instrumental in
developing and lobbying for the passage of the Jacobs Nardulli Act
or Public Law 2420 which created and expanded self employment
opportunities for blind and visually impaired men and women.
Instrumental in the development and lobby for the passage of the
Blind Vendors Highway Rest area Act enabling the blind to establish
business opportunities on Illinois Highway Rest Areas.
Memorials Mass of Christian burial
will be Tuesday November 24 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church
in Trenton with Fr. Gene Kreher officiating
