Alvin H. “Pete” Kniepmann, 72, of
Osage Beach, MO and formerly of Germantown, died Wednesday, December
9, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Kniepmann was born August 10,
1937 in Germantown to Bernadine (Duepmann) and Arthur Kniepmann,
Sr.; they preceded him in death.
Also preceded in death by, brothers,
Elmer Kniepmann, Robert Kniepmann, and Arthur Kniepmann, Jr.;
sisters-in-law, Doris Kniepmann and Delores Kniepmann; and a
brother-in-law, Bernard Hemann.
He is survived by his wife Theresa
Robben whom he married on December 29, 1959 at St. Boniface Catholic
Church in Germantown; daughters, Sheila (Dr. Brett) Gruender of
Highland and Sharon (Jerry) Henrichs of Germantown; a son, Rod
(Lynda) Kniepmann of Ballwin, MO; 6 Grandchildren, Stephanie and
Allison Gruender, Jessica and Jordan Henrichs, Ryan and Andrew
Kniepmann; sisters, Alice (Leo) Willhelm of Mascoutah and Marian
Hemann of Highland; a brother, Ray (Helen) Kniepmann of Florida; a
sister-in-law, Estelle Kniepmann of St. Louis; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Pete was the former
co-owner/operator of Kniepmann’s Shell Country Store and IGA in
Germantown, a part-time farmer, and groundskeeper at Osage National
Golf Course in the Lake of the Ozarks, and was a Veteran of the
United States Army.
He was a member of St. Boniface
Catholic Church. He was a former member of the following
organizations, the Germantown Kernel Nut Club, Germantown American
Legion Post 325, President of the Cayman Beach Subdivision, and
Board Member of Osage Beach in Camden County, MO.
He enjoyed spending time with his
family, especially his grandchildren and also spent many hours on
the golf course.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial
will be Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM
at St. Boniface Catholic Church in
Germantown with Fr. James Buerster
officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, December
11, 2009 from 4:00-9:00 PM and again on Saturday, December 12, 2009
from 8:00-9:45 AM at the Moss
Funeral Home in Germantown.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton
County Relay for Life and will be received at the funeral home. |
