Norval A. Kreke, 86 of Breese, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at his residence. 

He was born December 18, 1923 in Breese to Aloys and Elizabeth (Maue) Kreke; they preceded him in death. 

Also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Mike Pintar and a sister-in-law, Rita Cissell. 

He married Jeanne Timmerman November 26, 1947 at St. Dominic Church in Breese and she survives in Breese 

Also surviving is a son, Tim (Beth) Kreke of Crown Point, IN and a daughter Kim (Bob) Huskey of Akron, OH;
4 grandchildren, Shane (Chrissy) Kreke, Aaron (Fiancée Nicole) Kreke, Nicole (Joe) Taylor, Michael Marino;
2 great grandchildren Jackson and Anderson Taylor; a sister, Martha Pintar of Libertyville, MO; and a brother-in-law. Lawrence “Cannon” (Jackie) Timmerman of Breese. 

Norval retired in 1972 from Army Aviation Systems, he was also a Breese tax assessor and on the board of review, and a real estate agent with Century 21. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing cards, and was a family historian to many local families . 

He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Life time member of Breese American Legion Post 252, lifetime member of the Breese Knights of Columbus Council #2869 , past president and secretary of the Breese Lions Club , Honorary member, past president and secretary of the Concordia Saengerchor , Lifetime member, past president and secretary of the Breese Historical society , Breese Rod and Gun Club, Breese Boy Scouts Leader and past District Director of Okaw Valley Council.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating. Interment will follow in St. Dominic - St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese. 

Visitation will be Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at St. Dominic Church in Breese.

Memorials can be made to St. Dominic Church or VNA Tip Hospice and will be received through Moss Funeral Home in Breese
