Mildred F. Loepker, nee Grawe, 77, of Bartelso, died Tuesday,
September 22, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs.
Loepker was born July 30, 1932 in Bartelso, IL to Frank and Eleanore
(Niehenke) Grawe; they preceded her in death.
She
married Bernard F. “Bernie” Loepker on January 6, 1953 at St.
Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso; they preceded her in death on
March 9, 2009.
Also
preceded in death by a son, Gary Loepker; a daughter, Donna Loepker;
brothers, Fr. Alvin Grawe, Frank “Lefty” Grawe, and Gene Grawe;
sisters-in-law, Marion Grawe and Dorothy Richter; and
brothers-in-law, Ervin Loepker and William Wiegmann.
Surviving are her children, Daniel (Chris) Loepker, Dale Loepker,
Mary Beth (Kent) Kohrmann, Glenn (Chris) Loepker, and Kent Loepker
all of Bartelso.

Grandchildren-Miranda (fiancé Patrick Miller) Loepker, Jason
Loepker, Jessica (friend Garret Wedekemper) Loepker, Alicia Loepker,
Jennifer (Russell) Budde, Jacqueline (Eric) Pingsterhaus, Chelsea
Kohrmann, Kayla Loepker, Kyler Loepker, and Nolan Loepker.

Brothers, Daniel “Don” (Betty) Grawe of Beaver Prairie and Jerry
(Mary) Grawe of Bartelso, and sisters, Dolores “Blondie” (Hank)
Kreke of Bartelso, Ethel (Vince) Albers of Germantown, and Betty
(Bob) Gonzales of Trenton.
Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law, Mary Becker of Beckemeyer,
Frances Loepker of Washington, MO, Elsie Wiegmann of Trenton, Casper
Richter of Breese, Herbert (JoAnn) Loepker of Troy, Edna Woltering
of Carlyle, and Ethel (Ralph) Petermeyer of Carlyle.
Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Mildred formerly worked at the Carlyle Shoe Factory and on her
family farm, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing in the choir
and playing the organ, quilting, tending her flowers, spending time
with her friends and family, vacationing with her husband and most
of all being with her grandchildren.
She
was a member of St. Cecilia Church, choir, and was the past
president of the Altar Sodality, Bartelso Young at Heart Club,
Clinton County Farm Bureau, Bartelso American Legion Post 976
Auxiliary, and was a former den mother and volunteer at the Clinton
County Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 25, 2009
at 1:30 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry
Fischer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery,
Bartelso.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 4:00-9:00 PM
and again on Friday, September 25, 2009 from 10:30 AM-1:00 PM at the
Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
Memorials can be made to St. Cecilia Church Memorial Fund or to the
Donor’s Choice and will be received at the funeral home. |
